Medicare Assistance
Medicare is not a one-size-fits-all proposition. We take time with you to fully understand your financial constraints and your personal preferences. Then, we present you with choices that accommodate your needs at the least cost to you. Without professional guidance, people spend hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars more per year than they have to. Medicare is very complex with many costly, unseen pitfalls:
  • Overpriced Medigap Supplement Insurance - There are 12 different Medigap policies sold by 51 companies in Ohio. By Federal law, all companies must offer identical coverage. But, their premiums vary by $100’s per year! The ones you see on TV are among the more expensive. We can find the lowest cost coverage.
  • Oversold Medicare Advantage Plans - Advantage Plans can be a lower cost alternative to Medigap supplement insurance. Many people are drawn to them by the lower cost and later disappointed with the coverage. We can help you understand Advantage Plans and determine if they are right for you.
  • Costly Part D (prescription drugs) Plans - There are 48 Part D prescription drug plans sold in Ohio. None are the same, and only one is the lowest cost to you, depending on your prescription drugs. We can find the lowest cost plan.
  • Enrollment - There are advantages to early enrollment and penalties for late enrollment.
  • Employer Insurance - You may have a choice to keep or drop employer insurance when you retire. We can help you with that. Also, you may be able to delay signing up for Medicare Part B (which costs $110.50 per month) if you continue to work beyond 65, depending on your employer’s coverage. We can check that out.
